Globally, the OOH/DOOH markets are seeing transformative changes brought about by smart adoption of new technologies in the business, both on the display front, and in the back-end processes. Today, as Indian OOH sees a huge potential in going digital, there is a dire need for an ecosystem that helps the technology developers and providers to ascertain the real needs of market and curate the right kind of OOH solutions. Stating this in his conversation with Media4Growth on the imperative of a tech makeover of Indian OOH, S Kumar, Managing Director of Srishti Communications, said the upcoming OOH Expo, to be held in Mumbai on March 14-15, 2022 would be the perfect setting for the buyers and providers of smart OOH solutions to get together and forge meaningful business deals and partnerships.
Highlighting the criticality of having easy access to the latest OOH solutions, Kumar stated that while his company was establishing the pioneering Railway Display Network (RDN) project in the Bengaluru Division of South Western Railway, connecting 32 stations with a DOOH network that features both train and passenger information and brand advertising, considerable groundwork had to be done to even identify the DOOH hardware and software solutions companies. He reckons that the OOH Expo would make it a lot easier for companies looking out for cutting-edge tech and creative solutions to see all those solutions exhibited under a single roof. “The OOH Expo is a precursor to the promotion of a robust OOH ecosystem in India,” he says.
