Adil Bhat, MD, Rampage Advertising says OOH is staging strong recovery in Srinagar

Srinagar-based Rampage Advertising has recently won the contract from Srinagar Municipal Corporation providing sole advertising rights on 121 sites in the city for a period of two years. The sites comprise 40x20, 30x15 and 20x10 unipoles.

Rampage Advertising, which has been in the business for nearly 25 years, also has rights for other media properties in the region, including 800 trolleys at the Srinagar Airport for a period of three years, 15 sites for a period of five years under the Budgam Municipal Committee, 200 sites of different sizes on National Highways and other sites under the Pulwama Municipal Committee for a period of two years.

Speaking about brands that use OOH media in the region, Adil Bhat, MD, Rampage Advertising, says, “All prominent brands, including local and national brands across industries like banking, electronics and telecom actively advertise on OOH in Srinagar. Tourism is the main sector here and a lot of OOH ads are related to tourism. During pandemic, business was severely impacted, but now it is picking up rather well.”

Speaking further about the company’s plans in the pipeline, he adds,  “Now I want to enhance the media properties with better lighting, among other things, and use environmentally-friendly sources of energy like solar power.  Although the initial cost for installing solar panels is high, it is good in the long run. Besides, it is the future.”

Adil informs that the company is also planning to renovate and scale up the size of the displays so as to offer greater brand visibility and improve business prospects.
