Leading Business Strategist & Angel Investor Lloyd Mathias will be addressing the 1st India Talks OOH Conference on the theme of ‘How marketing can make the difference for media owning business’ to be held at Sahara Star Hotel, Mumbai on March 8, 2022.

The context for this theme is that historically Indian OOH has lagged other media channels in regard to marketing and competitive positioning of the medium. Today, as the OOH industry enters a transformative phase, with adoption of new technologies, introduction of innovative advertising formats, and the like, the imperative of effective marketing of the media assets becomes vitally important. However, the OOH industry at large is seen to be lacking clarity on this front.

Lloyd will be sharing his perspectives on how the OOH industry could collectively push their marketing drive, drawing upon his rich experience as a well-known and highly accomplished brand marketer and strategy consultant.

Lloyd is a Board Member and Advisor to companies in the technology and consumer space. He is an Independent Director on the board of Next MediaWorks Ltd. and Digicontent Ltd -- listed subsidiaries handling the digital and radio businesses of Hindustan Times Ltd.

Lloyd also sits on the boards of HT Digital Streams Ltd and Next Radio Limited, Quantum Asset Management Company; Shorebird Technologies and Auxano Enterprise Fund.

Lloyd has held senior leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies. He was the marketing head of HP Inc’s PC business for the APAC region based in Singapore till 2018. In previous roles he was President & CMO of Tata Docomo; Country Sales Director and P&L leader for Motorola India and SW Asia; Category Director & Executive VP of PepsiCo India & South Asia.

Lloyd has been Chairman of MRUCI publishers of the Indian Readership Survey. He was also Chairman of Mobile Asia – Asia’s largest mobile phone expo and Co-Chairman of the Device Strategy Council of the Mobility Development Group, USA - a body of global CDMA Telcos.

Lloyd is among India’s best known marketers who has built and nurtured powerful global brands and in 2007 he was named among the world’s top 15 marketers, by InterNational list magazine. He was also chosen Asia Marketer of the Year in 2016.
